An open letter to the new Mayor of London from my kids

Dear Mr Goldsmith or Mr Khan (because let’s be honest, it won’t be George Galloway),

We’re really excited that you’re the new Mayor of London. Perhaps even more excited than you are judging by your campaigns.

We’re particularly pleased that you’re the new Mayor because Lola’s fifth birthday is soon and now Mr Johnson is freed up to come and do the entertainment. He seems like somebody who could make a really good balloon puppy.

Is looking after a baby emasculating?

The article below appeared on the Huffington Post a few days ago. For a tongue-in-cheek piece, it rattled more people than I’d anticipated – take a look at some of the comments. Perhaps I shouldn’t have been surprised; I was actively looking for an angle and it would seem that I found one.

Better to provide a reaction than watch your words slide unnoticed into a chasm of obscurity though.
